Brian D. Biggers, MD

Dr. Biggers received his medical degree at University of Missouri Columbia School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. He continued his highly specialized training in breast surgical oncology through his fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Biggers specializes in breast surgical oncology. As Springfield’s only fellowship-trained physician in breast surgical oncology, Dr. Biggers will efficiently diagnose and effectively treat his patients to highly individualized care. He has published and presented nationally on the topic of circulatory tumor cells. He has reviewed for highly renound journals such as, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), Annals of Surgical Oncology, The British Hournal of Cancer, and the Journal of Thoracic Surgery. He is passionate about identifying genetic cancer syndromes. He is a national speaker for Myriad Genetics discussing the importance in the identification of these patients. Dr. Biggers was appointed the Associate Clerkship Director and Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery for the University of Missouri School of Medicine Clinical campus.

Dr. Biggers welcomes every patient, and stands with them on the road to recovery. His extensive experience and exclusive medical training make him the only choice in breast surgical oncology.
